For those who would like to express their concern about her lack of respect for VICTIMS

The victim called out LaBorde in her victim impact statement because LaBorde didn’t even show up to proceedings. 

““You both will have to live with this decision to let a rapist run free in society without any warning to future victims,“ she told them.”

The prosecutor in this case is just as complicit as the judge.

There is no justice in this country. Our legal system is only here to protect the rich a powerful.

The plea was bullshit, she should’ve asked for something harsher, she should’ve been a woman and told the victim what was happening at the very fucking least. But I’m not completely mad at the reasoning. She said the chances of an actual conviction were slim and that a jury in Texas wasn’t going to see a young (white) man on his first criminal offense as the perpetrator of a crime but the victim of one. There was a case recently in Waco that had stronger physical evidence, a rapist who was sober while his victim was black out drunk, and the jury still let him off cause he didn’t look like a rapist to them.

Facing a jury of your peers is pointless when your peers don’t think your crime is a crime

This is a petition to get the judge who presided over the case to resign.

Jacob Anderson has been attending The University of Texas at Dallas for the past two years. The University did not inform students of his enrollment. He is expected to graduate in two weeks with a major in finance from the Naveen Jindal school of business. After student protests and petitions Jacob Anderson will not be permitted on the UtDallas campus, however he will still receive his degree. The University claims they were not aware of his criminal history.

self-destruction doesn’t always look like taking too many pills or cutting your skin open. sometimes it’s drinking coffee when you know caffeine gives you panic attacks. sometimes it’s crossing the street without looking both ways. sometimes it’s showering with the water a little too hot. sometimes it’s avoiding eye contact with your reflection in the mirror or ridiculing your problems rather than addressing them. sometimes it’s walking out without sunscreen in scorching heat and not wearing enough when it’s freezing out. self destruction isn’t always physical mutilation, mostly it’s masked as little things so never assume what someone may be going through just bc they don’t show you visible signs of suffering.
